Egenes Idrettsbarnehage is a sports-oriented kindergarten in Stavanger, Norway, which has emphasized exercise, healthy living and a balanced diet since its opening in 2008. The children are served three meals a day, including a hot lunch, prepared according to a four-week menu developed in collaboration with nutritionists from Stavanger University Hospital.
In 2010, the school kitchen was equipped with a Retigo Vision combi oven, which was supplied and installed by Norrona Storkjøkken AS. According to head chef Britt Reidun Hetland, this equipment has made the kitchen operation much more efficient and has brought many practical benefits.
